Graduate Studies in Cognitive Science

Although there are no formal graduate programs in cognitive science at McGill, there is ample opportunity for interdisciplinary study and research. Graduate students interested in cognitive science enroll in a graduate program of one of the participating departments and pursue related interests through courses and research in other cooperating departments. Participating departments and institutes include Psychology, Educational Psychology, Linguistics, Human Communication Sciences and Disorders, Montreal Neurological Institute, Philosophy, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. Research opportunities are offered in most areas of cognitive science. See the page on Research Interests for details. Cognitively oriented courses and seminars at McGill and neighboring universities are posted on the Courses and Seminars page.
